If anyone has problems with the PS2 slim. List it here and maybe some of us can help you solve the problem.

My ps2 slim powered on for 2 seconds and it automatically turned off. I think my fuse is fried but i don't know where to find the fuse. any help?

I've a problem with my slimline ps2 (type 2).
it started about a month ago. After about an hour of play it would just shut off, and if i turn it back on again itwould turn off after at couple of minutes, which is no good when you're trying to win the 24 hour race at the Nurburgring Nordschleife in GT4. So I went to get it fixed under the warranty. So 3 weeks later they give me a new one (no explanation as to whether they experienced the fault or not or if they just couldn't fix it).
But now the new one has started doing the same thing, and i'm getting pretty frustrated.

Is this a common fault in the slimline version?
and would I be better off buying a used old version?

I will say that my buddy is a supervisor at BB and that he sees slim lines come back all the time. Problems like what you all are having and Disk read problems also. I would stay away from those new versions
