I have recently reinstalled windows, I did all my updates, and for some reason cant view avi movie files with windows medial player.
I also installed direct x9 if that has anything to do with it. Any help will be appriciated

Try going to www.free-codes.com and download one of the big AVI codec packs. Also if you download Real Alternative you'll get Windows Media Player Classic which is modified to support lots of formats. Good to have.
