Hi all
I've been reading different threads, and notice a lot of people use different media/disc to burn their PS2 games. But there are a lot of good ones and bad ones out there and I just want to know which media/disc is best, and have no problem loading on their PS2. If you can list your media/disc, what program u use, and burning at what speed, it would be appreciated.
- Thanks -

Using Verbitam DVD-R DataLife PLUS. Never had a bad burn on them, m8!

Hey
I use the DVD Decrypter and while its doing the ISO-Read, it went half way and it gave me an error - Cycle Redundancy - something like that. Any other options? I have Nero and I hope it will read to an ISO. I burn with DVD Decrypter before with my other computer, and when I try to play games, sometimes there's no music, or it takes long to load, and it skips when i play. Any other solutions?

If you are getting CRC error, that means your original disc is damaged (scratches, finger prints, etc). Try cleaning it with a disc-cleaning cloth or whatever. You might also try reading it in on a different dvd drive (some drives are better than others at reading in discs). If a straight DVD Decrypter ISO read and write won't give you a clean backup, its unlikely Nero will. You might give Alcohol 120% a try, but I think the culprit lies in either poor quality media, or a bad original.
As for which media is best, do a search of the forums. I personally stick to Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim Datalife Plus.

Yeah, I think its the game that has some serious scratches that prevented me from burning. I rented them, so you know how people treat it. Anyways, I got another game, Midnight Club 3 DUB, and when I burn it with the Memorex, I wasn't able to load the game. Everything loads fine, up until the main screen. It just pause there and thats it. But then, I got the TDK brand, and it gave me a almost perfect copy, probably 95%. It gave a little bit extra loading time, like 5-10 secs, which is fine, and it played good. No skipping, no lag on the music. But i still wanna try the Sony, and Ritek brand. I used Dvd-Decrypter btw. Alcohol 120% didn't work good when i burned the game.

Yeah I use Ritek G04 and GO5 discs are they work fine. Haven't made a single coaster yet using those discs and you can find those discs at a reasonable price too.
