When wil G06 dye be out ? At the moment I am having to buy TY discs for 16x, and they are costing me a lot, as Riteks usually do the job fine for me and I am sure will be much cheaper.
i have yet to see any 16x Ritek branded ones available yet...i also have had a LOT of success with the G05s in the past, they caused a lot of problems for many users, but they were just fine for me. i stick with my Taiyo Yudens now for the most part, and use the Verbatim MCC004s 16x DVD+R when they are a good price/on sale locally.
may i ask why you are looking for 16x Riteks in particular? do you actually BURN @ max speed of 16x? no matter HOW good the dye quality is, i would SUGGEST that you slow down your burns...to save a few minutes of burning time even with the good quality 16x media is not really worth the risk of having more errors at the end...i burn ALL my 16x media @8x...others will even recommend @4x..but, i feel 8x is just fine for GOOD quality 16x rated media.
if you have had success with Ritek as i have too in the past, why not just stick with what works for you? whether it be the G05 dye or the G04 dye...i would naturally recommend you stick with your Taiyo Yudens that you mentioned before, BUT, i know for a fact they are more expensive than riteks...if money is an issue...i would just use the Riteks that have worked FOR YOU in the past...no reason to switch/fix it if it isn't broke. :)
