Ok I have spent well over 2 hours serching for a DETAILED explenation of the gameshark swap trick. and the memory card exploit but with no luck. exept for this

wich just left me with more questions like "what in the world is a TOC game" and "whats the DAVE MIRRA trick?"

ok you should look at some of the downloads here http://exploitstation.com/ . and a high TOC refers basically to the size of the game (like Vice city) . Another thing you should know is that you have to use an older version of GameShark to get it to work ,V 4 or under I think but I'm not for sure. I suspect that you may be using a newer version , which they made it so the disc dosen't stop spinning.
the exploit....Well, it's kind of hard to explain , It is basically a flaw in the ps1 driver in the ps2. You make a disc eith various .elf files and programs on it oh, and you also need an original ps1 game (to get the title db file from) anyway you burn the disc, boot up the ps2 with swap magic/older version of gameshark/older version of action replay,then when prompted swap for the exploit disc you just burnt. Boot it,.... it will then say installing exloit,and show all of the files being download to the memory card..then it will say instilation complete! So... after that when ever you have the exploited memory card in the first slot and you use your psx disk ( the one with the title db) (people call this a "trigger disc") it will run a program..I have mine configured for Keylauncher ...and I love it! I know how to swap games (Used it to play a FF7 with a scratched 2 and 3 disk) and I read the "Installing the Independence Exploit Using Codebreaker" FAQ on exploitstation I just ordered a flash drive off of ebay and Im trying to ind a code braker.
but I alredy have a GS how do I play backup games with just the GS?
