Is it possible or is there a Dvd player which plays DivX Movies Without having to encode then to vcd or svcd, And if there is who Manufacturs them, And where could i get my hands on one.

Apparently there is only one so far that has proven to be able to play divx movies! There is a thread about it hidden in the forum somewhere.

Also, there is a divx player for a ps2 but you need a modchip to play it. Also again that is unfortunate!

The player is the KISS-DP450 DVD/DIVX Player


i have only seen it for sale once, at www.bigpockets.co.uk for £249.00stg

oh and the Xbox also has some really good media players available.(chipped of course)!!

does this mean that you can put a divx avi file onto a cd with out creating any from of images and it will play on the dvd player stated?

Yes it does! Sure on some dvd players if you put the avi on a cd and put it into the player, it often play but doesn't start unfortunately!

I have seen 3 other makes. Revoy 220, xoro (german make) and manawa (minitsu v880) which has just come out

I think we all just gotta wait a while for the best divx players, then something new will come along and we'll wait again and then something new and then we'll wait again and on and on and on *sigh* lol
