Hi everyone I want to say if i post this in the wrong form i am sry heres my ? My friends ps2 was working fine previously and now today it doesnt want to load anything a game, dvd nothen all it does is just goes to the screen that says browser and system settings I checked all the wires blew some dust out that was in the fan checked the settings but still nothen any help on this problem would be greatly appreciated

What does it say when you try to run a game? What version PS2 is it ( http://www.mod-chip.com/ps2version.htm )?

it is a version 9 and when i tried loading a game up it just went to the screen were it says browser and system settings so i tried going into the broswer screen and loading the game manually but that still doesnt work it just says please wait

You can try the Laser Tweak/Fix and see if that works....

tmfloria that is not the problem im not getting a disc read error screen it just isnt doing any functions i pop the disc in and it reads for a sec and than it just goes to the screen were it says browser and system settings like i said before im thinkin possibly the laser went out on it but im not sure

What happens when you press X on Browser?

Does it go to the screen with the Memory Card and say Scanning Disc (or whatever it is that it normaly says sometimes) or does it just hang at the Browser Settings Screen

If you get to the memory card screen and it's not reading the disc or you get a disc Error you may want to try the Laser Fix

The more info you give the better...

yea it goes to the screen were it has the memory card thing and says what it always says but it never loads the game so having that said do u think the laser fix thing is worth a try

I'd say definately the Laser fix is worth a shot... It's not going to make things any worse than it already is that's for sure.. and you can always set it back to it's original state....

hey i dont know if this is a ps2 game but i got it on my computer when i bought it. it's prince of persia sand of time and i need some help on the second level of the game (5%). if anyone knows how to get out of the room after killing the demons in the second level please could you reply back or if anyone of you know anyone with the game could you ask it is really bugging me.Thanks

that description, but i know i am way past 2%

plenty or walkthroughs to help you. you really have to
watch the visions close when they happen, they usually
tell you what you have to do. go to a save point and you
can watch it again instead of saving the game.

I had the same problem with my ps2 v4. They usually said it's a sign that your laser will die shortly. I don't think there's a laser fix for any version of ps2 except the slim one. someone prove me wrong.

It's not really a Laser fix but more like a laser adjustment...

Sometimes if the laser put itself out of wack it could use an adjusting... That's what the white wheel behind the laser is for.. Adjusting the Hight of the laser..... one full durn of this disc sets it back to the way you originally had it before the adjustment.. So it's not something that can be even more messed up easily.... It's worth a shot..
