I ahd a freind pick up a version of Action Replay. The problem is, its for the Psone, I am using the action replay to boot up the NES emulator, will this disc work? Or does it have to be a PS2 version?

ImbNes is based on PS1,you will have to boot it like a PS1 game. The PS2 systems have a built in PS1 system, different boot methods though. The Action Replay and GameShark for PS1 will work with ImbNes,but they have to be for PS1.

So let me make sure I have this correct. It will work but only if I have a PSone? I have a PS2, I know they can play PSone games, and that ImbNes, is set for PSone. So i need to go get a gameshark thats made for the ps2 correct, and this will work, since I have a PS2. Let me know if I am wrong.

Nah bro, what you need to get is a PS1 boot disc preferably for AR,GS or even Breaker Pro PS1 related. The PSOne consoles and the PS1 systems built into the PS2 systems are the same thing almost. The only difference about them is the way they open,a PSOne system has a lid that lifts up and the PS2 system has a tray that ejects. What you will want to do is use a way to trick the PS2 like you do PS2 backups, but instead use a boot disc for PS1 backups. For instance, you can use fliptop and slidecard to boot your backups for the PS2.So what you will want to do is use a PS1 related boot disc such as GameShark Lite for PS1.Power on your PS2 and plug in the GameShark Lite disc must be original because it has to directly boot.Click on start game without codes, using your PS2 method for booting PS2 backups such as slidecard or fliptop method put in your ImbNes disc and hit X.You still have to trick the system in order to get the disc to play like a PS1 or PS2 game, only difference is in the boot disc you use.Sorry should have said that in my first post, must be PS1 related even if you are trying to boot it off the PS2.

Ok, sorry about that. So i did what you said. I followed it step by step. I have also been readin around to try and fix this next problem. I swap the discs out and then press X, it loads but only to the black screen, it just then freezes. Why is it doing this? I have read and read and burtn the cd's over and over trying multiple things. But it still constantly freezes on the black screen, I cant even make it to the blue screen that most people have problems with. I read somewhere that using an older versio of ImbNes, works better for some reason, is this true? I havent had a chance to test it out cause I am at work. But i have all the things needed. I also have 87 roms on the disk all unzipped. Made with the rombank and I burn the cue with CDrwin, which works fine. But i cant get past the black screen, anyone know any tricks or what the hell I am still doing wrong?
