Can multi discs game backed up in one CD or DVD?

We can shrink two DVDs in one but can we pack a 2 or 3 discs pC game in one self extracting disc or at least in one DVD PC games of today. Something like burning their images into HD and then putting them altogether into one DVD. Is it possible theorically or had someone already tried this?
