OK ive been using a Gameshark Lite to boot my PSX backups. Ive been playing Parasite Eve and it gets to where I need to insert disc 2 so I thought id use my slide tool and swap them out but it just sits there, then I tried pressing the eject button and putting in the 2nd disc and it says checking disc and then wrong disc.

So my question is how do I swap out for the second disc?

I don't remember if P.E. offers a save at the end of first disk, try saving the game at the end of disk 1, then boot to disk 2 and load save game, it should continue.

It doesnt ask you to save before you switch discs. You get a key and when as you goto the next screen the screen fades as it always does going to the next screen and it says insert disc 2.

Disc 2 boots fine but when I load the savegame it just askes for disc 1.

That's a tough one. I figured since it was a square game, it might be like final fantasy and save before the disk change. I played through this game when it was new on my modded ps1. I think the game needs the eject. You could try this, you would need the swap magic disks, not gameshark for this, swap in for disk 2 then when it stops, swap to disk 2. It might read the boot sector then stop spinning (the way swap disks do) and allow you to swap, all while looking at the 'insert disk 2' screen but it's a long shot. Wish I could be more helpful.
