hey guys im lucky i think, i got my mod off that wasnt working and although i have a broken transister it still works.. im looking into getting a swap magic with flip top..what is a good one to goet and do they play all backups? any help guys would be great. and if there is already a post about this elsewhere i apologize//

Swap Magic is amazing. Using Swap Magic 3.6, I havent had any problems. Some games have to have patches, or rebuilt to work... but they are gr8!

i have to agree... i have slimline so i dont use the fliptop here they are terrible but the slide cards on the older machines and switchs on the slimlines work great :) i have about 150 games backed up on dvd at moment all working awsome

swap magic is the best...ive backed up 70+ games...never had probs...except with fantastic four.which i had to rebuild...which was no probs thanx to teh forums...but yah
i definitely reccomend it..

any help with coliseum - road to freedom?? that is the only one i am having troubles with lol.... i can play it just fine but i cant save the &(*&_)$# it locks up on me i waited 25 minutes now and sitting on saving screen still lmao

sweet guys..thanks for the replies. im gonna get it...im using a versin 10 ps2..im gonna get the fliptop lid withit...i was woried about all the fixes games require that use swap magic but since you guys said there is alot of help here with rebuilds then thats great..
one other question. does anyone know how a swap magic works? how does it allow a backup to function?

i myself would use a slide card with the version 10 hear there are troubles with the fliptops and the pressure button.... have not tried it myself to actually have tried.....

I load in my original game into my dvdrom/burner start up dvddecrypter read image at 1x( its in options/settings for the speeds) read the disk to an image file to the hard drive ... i check swapmagicfix site to see if it needs patching if so i patch it with ppf-o-matic 3 then i load up dvddecrypter put a blank disk into the burner and write iso at slowest speed i can .... i find it works best with DVD+R i only use sony dvd+r's myself as the newer machines do not like to read DVD-R very well .... so i have found with the slimlines anyhow

that is where you can find out which games need which fixes.....
the 3.6 there is only about 4-5 games that need to be patched out of that list ..... i apologize the link post not trying to spam just help with info on the games the ones for the swap diskl 3.6 that need patching are thee ones that say go in green lettering to the right side
