I Suggest you download the following link, and please don't use any Download Manager, especialy not DAP.

Yes, that sounds right, just select "Extract to" and select a location.

Personaly my TMPGEnc is located on my C:\Program Files\TMPGEnc

But you just have to make sure that your DVD2AVI will also be in the same place your TMPGEnc is.

DVD2AVI is usefull if you backup your DVD's, if you don't, then just skip that remark of mine ;-)

Anyway, now that you got TMPGEnc, try to open your Movie, and see if everything is working.

Sorry to butt in Sefy :-) But I have seen Jodie in other threads. I believe this is a downloaded version of the Friends bloopers and is already an avi file from what I have gathered. I am assuming there is no copyright on the bloopers:

Jodie : You have TMPGEnc, you will need to download the divx codecs from the Afterdawn website :

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/divx_3_codec.cfm

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/divx_pro_for_windows.cfm

If you haven't already done so. Then select environmental settings in TMPGEnc and change the priority settings for Directshow to highest.

You should then be able to click the video source button in the main window and open your movie. You will then select the VCD settings based on where you live Pal or NTSC. Select a folder to put your mpeg and click start.

I hope this helps.

Paul.

OK, ignore the other stuff I said. If you have mpg file you will need burning software to make your VCD. Do you have any burning software, like Nero?

If not, you had better download it.

www.ahead.com

You will have a free 30 day trial, after that you have to pay.

Once you have this, then it will be really easy! All you do is open Nero, use the wizard, select CD, then compile CD, then other CD formats, then VideoCD then finish. This will prepare Nero to burn a VCD for you. Then just drop your mpg into the box on the left under the VCD directories and click onthe burn button and you should get a VCD.

Yes you can delete, as long as the disk is rewritable.

The PM was about posting you email addresses on open forums : DONT DO IT! It is against our rules. Also, try to post questions in the correct forum and not do multiple posts for the same question!

Happy VCD making!

Paul.
