It really is as simple as.
1) press select
(it will say "delete code")
2) put in 7444
(then it will ask for a new code)
3) your done.

yes you can, just use dvd decrypter, it's free. go to mode-iso-read, then choose where u want to save the file and start the burn. then insert a blank dvd and go to mode-iso-write and choose the .mdf file. remember this process needs a mod to your ps2 for the game to work, also if the dvd is dual-layer then there are additional steps.
YOU NEED A DVD BURNER

as for mods, u can add chips to ur ps2, soldering involved or you get a new cover and some boot disc, i went for the boot discs. for dual-layer discs, just pop the dvd into your dvd-rom/dvd burner and right click on the drive and go to properties. if the dvd is over 4.35 gb than its dual-layer. i dont know much about dual layer, look in this forum: http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/115
or search around, probably post depending on which game it is.

You either Need a Modchip or Swapmagic Discs (to Play PS2 Games GameShark to play PSX Backups) and a Fliptop or slide card (personally I'd go with the flip top)
