The game is 3 discs. They were ripped with Alcohol 120%. There contains 3 mdf files and 3 mds files labels cd 1, cd 2, cd 3 and a .exe file. I have burned the first cd1 image with Alcohol 120% and burned the mdf files for cd 2 and 3 using nero. When I go to install, I insert disc 1, and then it starts installing. After it asks to insert disc 2 to continue installing, and when I put disc 2 in, it doesn't work. I dont know whats going on here, and Im getting frustrated because I'm going through cd-r's like crazy. I hope they wont go to waste.
I have also tried buring all 3 disc images all with alcohol 120% and I get the same problem.
Someone please help

what you want to do is just emulate a virtual drive and install the game through "fake" drives. you can do it through Alcohol 120%, just select one drive to emulate and change the images(.mdf) files as you need the next cd, tell me if this helps or if it was unclear :P

there is a little bit of work envolved but you can put the 3 discs together and form a DVD. So you dont have to change disc when installin and if you dont have a dvd writer dont worry about it. You can just use Kinzas method and mount the dvd image and install that way.
If yah want to give it ago id recommend reading this forum:

My second thing that could help you is that the game you are trying to install has a copy protection such as Safedisc i think, where it checks the disk in the installing procedure so if youve back'd it up incorrectly it wont install (Part of the safedisc protection). So what you can do is (lucky ur using 120%) enable the RMPS in Alcohol 120% under emulation on the left hand side. And when making the image pick what protection the disc has when making the image. If you can tell me what game it is i can tell you the copy protection used, therefore then you will be able to make a working backup. Creating a 1:1 backup is useful, because then you dont have to wander into porn/virus/illegally infested websites.
