PowerDVD, cant watch DVD (weird playback)

Hi all,
First time posting here =)

I was hoping you could help me with some nightmares I've been having using PowerDVD.

Heres what happened:
I installed my LG DVD/CD-RW (combo) this weekend as master on primary IDE and a LG CD-RW as slave. Everything was working fine until i tried to watch some DVDs with PowerDVD. It simply would not play. Acctually it plays the dvd with some green stripes all over...

The video apears very laggy (skipping more or less 6 seconds) with green stripes/distortion all over it. The audio also doesnt play, only when the video appears for 1 second.

Ive downloaded and tested WinDVD7 trial and it worked as a charm. Alsto tried SEVERAL other programs, and everyone of them works fine. Except PowerDVD.

My PC specs:
WinXP SP2, A64 3000+, 1GB kingston memory, Gigabyte k8ns 939-ultra mobo, gecube 9600xt (cat 5.7), 1 HD sata, 2 HD IDE, 1 CD/RW e 1 DVD/CD-RW, and all nvidia chipset drivers installed (mobo chipset drivers)

Here's what I already done to fix the problem withou sucess:
- Uninstall and install Catalyst 5.7 again
- Removed all-in-one codec pack, install newer version
- Removed all-in-one, installed K-Lite codec pack
- Removed PowerDVD6, reinstalled again
- Removed PowerDVD6, installed version 5.0

Nothing happened, same problem all the time. Skipping video, and green stripes. WinDVD and other software works fine, EVEN windows media player is working...

What should I do to fix this? Any ideias?
