I have a NEC ND-3450A drive, however, when I attempt to use DVD Shrink and I click on open disc I get the following: "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. No disc is in the drive. Incorrect function." Of course I have a new dvd+r in my drive, I have tried the phillips brand and maxell to see if that was the problem. Does anyone know if this drive is compatible with DVD Shrink? If not any suggestions of what program I can use instead of it. Thanks!
You've got to put the movie you want to backup in the drive before you put in your blank.
You will probably be disapointed with the phillips media. A lot of it is made by cmc mag which is garbage. ID your blank discs with this free proggy. http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/
