im new at this so bear with me. Ok i used dvddecrypter to make a back up copy of one of my ps2 games and it says the the burn was succesful, but it will not play in my ps2. why cant i play the backed up version of my ps2 games. BTW my ps2 plays dvd-r's fine.

Your PS2 needs to be modified with a modchip or swap or something along those lines. A normal PS2 will NOT play backups. Check out http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/69274 for more info.

Ok then great, 1st how do i tell what version ps2 i have so that i can find the right mod chip? what is this disc swapping stuff i hear about and does it apply to my situation or will a mod chip be all that i need to play the back ups? thanks
