Hi how do I hook up an external harddrive to PS2

Well obviousley I know how to plug it into the usb port in the PS2 and into a power outlet but how do I play the games saved on it on my PS2???

For USB hard drives, you need "USB Extreme" boot disc. Search google for it. Easier solution if you have a v1-v11 PS2 is to install a regular hard drive internally (using network adapter) and get HD Advance boot disc, or put patched HD Loader file on mem card. Internal hard drive faster and more compatable than USB hard drive.

Unless you have a modchip or swap method, it will not work. PS2 won't boot burned discs directly.
