It must be hard work for the mods and admins. They have to go through each forum and ban spammers, close useless threads, sort out arguments. For that I respect them.

Jim_dandy leave the mods at ps2nfo alone hahaha lol power hungry no doubt, they are the worst power hungry bastards you can ever witness if you ask me.They are so mesmerized by there actions they don't care what happens to there site.I don't see what they get from it,but if we had someone power hungry like you helloyoda it would end up like ps2nfo.If we did have a power hungry mod,you wouldn't last long here.Just a question to ask, because we got some pretty good mods on here that wouldn't put up with it to begin with. All I can say is try ps2nfo helloyoda if you want to be a mod and go on a power trip.I'm sure they recruit A$$h@lE$ by the dozen for mods, who like banning and deleting forums with no reason.

Ive seen neph give the newbies, and spammers more chances than I would ever give.I think the mods here use there power only as a last resort.
L-Burna Im not much of a gamer, but I'll keep that site in mind for my gamer friends, and tell them to steer clear.

Ahhhh fiddle sticks ddp,Neph is just preventing spam from occuring again I say.If they are banned one time, and then come back and post something useless directed at the mod that just banned them which isn't smart to begin with.I would bet you,any mod on here not including Neph would do the same thing probably.I agree weazel200 and jim_dandy being a mod isn't the best thing that can happen to you.Sure it is time consuming I bet, being able to spot the spammers before they break out.Close useless threads or even respond to break up flame wars, they definately deserve respect and where picked for a good reason. The ability of interacting and alot of knowledge is very important for a mod.You have to think sometimes,a mod has to be able to understand what you are talking about at all times. This includes illegal actions also, how much you want to bet a mod can spot you posting something illegal in less then two hours or breaking the forum rules because that is what mods do.That is how good our mods are at the moment, and trust me they where just like us.I know each mod has alot of knowledge on each subject in the forums, maybe even more than we know. The good thing about our mods that differs from alot of sites is they give you chances, and they actually do look out for our members.

yeah very well said LB. I dont think any of us are power hungry at all, it's just that we see the same old spammers and idiots day in and day out. i'd say at least every month or so i get some asshole trying to get on my nerves in PM's and such, but the sad thing is they think they are really bothering me. We deal with this crap daily, so i'm sure at times it seems we are pissed all the time or labeled as an asshole (i get that alot:) ). The thing is we aren't here to be liked, or be cool and let something slide, or take sides when the babies start fighting, we're here to make damn sure this place stays as cool as it is for all the people that come here to learn a thing or two. Dont get me wrong, i've made tons of friends and i'm sure the other mods have too. we just keep the place tidy and it's a thankless job and crazy at times but we wouldn't do it if we didn't aD and all the people that make it such a cool place.
back to the topic, yeah once you make senior or addict and are just known all over the place as a damn good member who knows and helps to enforce the rules, the mods take notice of you and when it comes time for our 2 cents on the matter we throw the names out that we'd like to see join us. the admins go over our input and do some checking on their own then they decide who gets it.

Simply asking to be a Mod should negate you from ever being one. The last thing we need here is a load of power crazed freaks. Personally I think the balance here is just right. All the mods are top, we have a good set of people who are seniors & addicts who report boneheads to admin, & chastise errant posters in an appropriate way.
I don't think we need more mods (I may be way out, as that is entirely up to admin & the other mods to decide that). I think the job is WELL sorted!
This site runs really well, with all working together like a well oiled clock.

IMHO I think Mods and Admins here do a superb job. Although many times people post threads in wrong forums (it has happened to me too I confess *blush*) I have never seen anyone been banned for doing so.
Comparing to other forums they work, to me at least, very discretely. Perhaps I haven´t seen them much around because I have not seen many spammers in the forums I participate regularly.
The only time I had to contact one, that was Nephilim IIRC, he responded immediately and kicked out spammers.
GREAT great job for keeping the place friendly for people willing to learn (read my sig)

when someone posts in the wrong forum we usually just move the thread where it's supposed to go. no harm done.
