charge level 60% p2ktools

I was wondering how I need to charge this battery to get more than 60% I charged it all night last night after almost letting the phone go dead. I get up and checking it in p2ktools I still only have 60% Should I be topping off instead of letting the battery go almost dead? Someone please advise.

Also, I don't do a whole lot on the phone. I use it basically just in case my wife needs to call me, other than that it hardly ever gets used. How long will a 60% charge level last me.

I have been playing games just to drain the battery because I assumed it needed a discharge/recharge cycle. I now read it doesn't. It's a 3.6v lithium Ion and the phone model is Motorola V188.
