Hi, this is probably a very stupid question, but I've seen TOC a lot lately concerning CD's like swap magic can't play TOC's or something like that. I was wondering what that was. Thanks

TOC stands for Table Of Contents, swap magic has a maximum TOC level which means it can only boot games that have a TOC the same or below it's own.

ok then is TOC the size of the disc in MB or the amount of files ?
I ask because I can't seem to boot any resident evil PSX games on my v7 , even by using my scratched copy of Breaker Pro.....yet they all work fine on my slim PS2.....

Wait, but then..say you wanted to play this game, but you don't know if swap magic or whatever would boot it because of TOC size. How would you know or not? If you backed the game up and it was only 2GB's then does that mean the TOC is small enough?

Exactly... this is another thing I'm confused about..I'm not really sure if TOC is universal among PS1 and PS2 games... although I must admit that , to me... it seems easier to boot a PS2 backup rather than a PS1.....I've searched everywhere for TOC answers...haven't found a whole lot.....
