I just ordered a DMS4 E.Z.I. Pro Chip well Its getting shipped,Now I read the installtion it dose not look to hard. But I just neeed some one to clear some issues up for me.. Once the chip is installed properly what are my first steps.. I kno I have to FLASH the BIOS with something called "Toxic OS" How do I go by doing that. What do I burn to the CD and how do I boot it to FLASH the BIOS....and after that is there anything else I need to kno to get my hip working with direct booting for my backup PS2 games........Please Help me out a little bit I am not much of a nooob I kno what I am doin but this is just a little new to me THANK YOU

After certain court rulings the past few years, most modchips have been released with "legal" bioses. For example, the DMS4 default bios does not boot backups on its own, the Matrix Infin has a "homebrew" bios that won't boot backups, and Ghost2 has a similar default bios. A separate bios (possibly not legal in some countries) has the full backup booting capability. In the case of the DMS4, the "full" bios is the Toxic bios, which you can get by simply searching the phrase "toxic bios" on Google (it was the fourth url on the list for me).

For DMS4 Pro users, there is also the ToxicOS, which is an additional component that is installed onto the chip's non volatile memory giving you a separate explorer interface. The most current versions of bios and os are 1.3 and 0.3 respectively, if im not mistaken (not a DMS user myself).

As for loading the bios, all you have to do is burn the bin/cue files in the zip with your cd burning software, put it in your PS2 (with the modchip installed), and it will guide you through the instructions to update the flash.
