Can someone help, I'm trying to backup GT4 to my PS2 HDD using HD Advance, I rip the ISO to my PC but I can only get to 80% of the disc and then I get I error from DVD Decrypter, There is not enough free disk space, I have 20GB of free space.
How are you planning to get the ISO to the PS2?
And, if you follow this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/215155 you will be able to create a working backup of GT4 on a DVD5 disc, then play on your PS2 using swap magic 3.3 and Slide card.
EDIT: You CAN copy GT4 to your PS2 HDD after burning it. Using HD Advance2.0 - which i used. Just make sure you use the slide card the right time, when it says insert disc. (Unfortunatly, i didnt, and it read "Not Valid PS2 disc", i tried again, and 30 mins later, GT4 on my PS2 HDD!)
Apart from that, you will struggle to get GT4 from your PC Hdd to your PS2 hdd, without connecting them, and using a FTP client. There is also a guide on that in these forums here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/122897
If you seriously cant get DVD Decrypter past 80%, maybe your Disc is dirty? or try using a different tool, like Apache 2 or better Apache 3 preview is better sill (if you can get your hands on it). It does the same thing. Insert original DVD into drive, select it in Apache, then click create ISO image from CD/DVD.
Thats how i created my backup. Also note, i didnt delete anyfiles, i downsampled them so that they fit.
Thank you for reply, I finally figure out, my HD is a FAT32 and for some reason stops at 80%, good thing I have a slave and is NTFS and I have successful rip an GT4 ISO, about the method of getting the ISO to the ps2 I use this guide http://www.hdloader.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1386, look for E-Z exploit.
