I am using Windows XP with SP2, got not problem at all. why people keep saying having problem with XP with SP2?

If your mouse pointer turns to hourglass on and off forever, you might have either bad usb cable or bad usb port.
If you mpt and windows 98 can't see your phone, you might need a driver that works with 98. the driver's here work fine in XP, no clue it's gonna work in 98 or not.

Hi all. I have been perusing these threads for two days - I have seen several references to P2Kman software but cannot find a download location. I am not referring to the p2k drivers, I have that already. I am looking for the software program.
There were many questions about this but I didn't see any responses. I found out what P2kMan was by reading the MOTOROLAS HACKER'S BIBLE thread, but again, no download link. Many thanks.

No, I was finally able to get that. THere is another piece that works like Windows explorer for your phone, P2k or P2K Manager. This is what I'm looking for.

Hi,
i downloaded the MPT program (1.23), installed it on my computer no problem (windows XP), the driver's working and everything, it recognises my phone, but all it seems capable of doing is copying the databook and dialing fone numbers!
i thought i'd be able to download my phone pics on to the pc?!
i have a motorola v220 and i am aware that the problem may be that the version of MPT needs to be upgraded for my phone, but the update link just brings me to an official motorola site where they want me to state my MPT CD serial code. So no help for me there.
Does anybody know of any other program which might work to copy pics from phone to pc, it doesn't have to be a fancy program either, just so long as it does the job.

I was able to install mpt 3.11 and transfer pics and contact info to the pc. What I really want to xfer is the ringtones...are these on the sim card? I doubt it, but that'd be great if they are. If not, I need a way to transfer the ringtones, then I'm set.

Can you help me out here! How do I download pictures from V220 to my PC? I installed MTP 3.11 too, but I could only find option to upload from PC to v220.
And by the way any one want the MTP3.11 can get it here ! I found it while i was searching ofr it in another site.

* for setup MPT 3.11 go 'Setup' floder and pls read the virility.nfo first, if don't have nfo viewer just open the nfo file with notepad.

Here is what I did:
Start mpt, when the "phone" displays on your screen, click the menu button (same place as on your phone); under Tools, select Multimedia Center. I was only able to transfer pictures with this, but it works both ways. You can also synch phone book and calendar using the Organizer menu option.

Hello all, first time here. I have a v220 with mpt working fine (v3.11). This thread is quite large, so I might have missed it somewhere, but how do you upload games to the v220? everything else works fine for me, I would just like to understand how to upload a game from a PC...

I have been reading this thread and others for days and i still can't get my v220 to work with my computer. (i am running win98se...or should i say it's ruining me) even way back to geedaddy's posts and Risa's posts. Every link i click on takes me either to a spanish pornography site, or i get errors, i wait for downloads and long installs and then i get .DLL's are missing. if it's not one thing, it's something else...sometimes computers are not user-friendly(tic)(LOL)
i thought i downloaded the correct mpt's(1.23...2.??, upgrade on line click here, downloaded there, here a click there a click everywhere a click click, Old McDonald..(sorry, yesterday was St Patty's Day you know)
Anyone out there want to spell out step by step for the Computerily Impaired???
..you know, exactly where to link to mpt 1, then next one. than upgrade on line...then here and do this or that. Anyone want to make a housecall?? i'm in ft lauderdale fl. i will supply the coffee and bagels...

meziggy- It may not work with win98se. I've decided to wait and see if anyone confirms this before I pull the rest of my hair out trying to get it to work. I get the pic of the 220 on the screen and everything, but it just doesn't "see" my phone. I'm hoping to get win2000 or whatever is the most recent or whatever and then, maybe it will work!

I have MPT 3.11 and a v220 phone with Windows ME. I can install and run the software, but when the phone pops up it is a skin of a different model. Is there something else I need to transfer ringtones, pics, etc??

mossyy, I went to motomodders and found "software", but here are the links to choose from: 1)Media Creation Software (MP3/3GP)
2)Other Software
3)P2K Software
4)Skin Creation Software
So, what do I click on? I've clicked on all of them and can't find MPT. Thanks in advance.
