Mercenaries: iso read problem

i know there's a lot of threads about people having difficulty burning their iso of mercenaries but I can't find anything that will help me out.

I've tried using DVD Decrypter and A120% to create the iso but they both get stuck about 15% into the read. In DVD Decrypter I get an I/O error and A120% says "Illegal mode for this track".

Also, I've tried copying it to my HDD with usb extreme (win version) and it says "source error".

Could it be that the disc is damaged?

Can anyone help me out with this?

The original game plays fine though, no skips or anything, although the disk is pretty scratched up.
