I found a torrent [Dino Crisis 2[1].7z] and burned using Alchohol 120% using a Verbatim CD.

I'm curious if anyone has the same "problem" where there's a black strip about a 1/4 of the screen and everything is moved down making it impossible to read the text during conversations or when a character inspects something. I'm not sure if the rip was originally from PAL copy or if I did something wrong.

Yes.. I think I have the exact same copy that you do...I suspect it is a PAL copy, because I've got a Final Fantasy 7 that says Sony of Europe... where they use PAL......look around though you might be able to find a Y fix patcher for psx....

Thanks. This is the 1st time I've come acrossed a PAL version and I don't have the faintest idea how to use a patch but I guess I'll do a bit of reading.

yeah it's a pain, see for swap magic you have a pal/ntsc setting, which works great.... but breaker pro ...well... it has a video mode setting option but it never worked on dino crisis nor FF7... another thing that I got from chipzone.com (for about $20) was a PAL.NTSC converter... of course it didn't work for me.... it would have.... but my TV is a Crappy Durabrand and I don't have a knob for vertical-hold... but if you do find a patch, let me know where... as I'll do likewise.....
