I'm currently using DVD Shrink and DVD decrypter to back up my dvds.And now I keep get the same erorr, heres the log. Also I'm using Sony DVD+R's, which I have used before and has worked fine.

your dma is off use http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/DMA.html to turn it back on.

you are burning to close to the edge of the disk. Sometimes the dye is not as smooth and will cause errors during burning.

http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2034 this link here is where you can check for the latest firmware for your burner. I can't get to the site at the moment so check to see you have the latest firmware which if not could be the cause of:

did you have some errors burning this particular file and tried several times to redo it? If so that could cause your burner to revert to pio mode from dma which is way slower for transfer rate.

did you switch media while trying to burn? as it seems you went from DVD+R to dvdrw? If using dvdrw always remember to format the disk before using it. Also there is a forum for Nero issues and posting there with a Nero question will get you a response much quicker as those who use it often hang around there. Thanks for the tips I'm going to follow them right now and I'll try burning, I'll report back.

-I did everything now going to test I do have the lastest firmware because I tried looking for it and none appearred. I downlaoded the newest version of Nero ultra edition. I'm not sure about the DMA and how to turn it on because the the link didn't work. Also I have only tried to burn this ISO once, it occured with other ISO's too. I stayed with DVD+R, I didn't switch to DVD-RW ( I was thinking about using it though). I also notice that the DVD+R's I used before didn't have a extra 3mm of a circle before the storing data, and the ones I bought have about a 3mm circle before the writring data starts. Another thing should I open up the MDS file or the ISO file in DVD shrink.

-Ok well the burned failed again but I figured out how to turn my DMA on, it was on PIO mode like you said last time. Now it's on Ultra DMA 2. Anyways well I'm going to try and burn again.
