OK, I've been researching my Mod chips for days now, and i came down to a possible 3: -Matrix Ininity, -Ghost2, -Crystal Chip.
They all have some great specs and will play almost anyhting. Does anyone know if they play DVD9 backups? Are there any specs that would make one of these the BEST CHIP out?

Please comment on which of these would be the best overall chip to buy. (Prices don't matter, they all the same usually)

hey , i was in the same boat a couple of months ago, so i'd like to help out. First of you need to dicide wiether or net you want a Hard Drive. if so then get Swap Magic 3.6 and HDLoader and a Hard Drive 40gb+ , if you just want to boot disks then get Swap Magic 3.6. If you dont want to do the Swap Hassle then get a Matrix Infinity, or a Solderless DMS4 EZI lite. (DMS4 w/ a 80gb HDD and HDLoader is a good setup)

The Matrix Infinity and DMS4 (lite or pro) are the best chips on the market. You can't go wrong with either of those.

I know the Matrix plays dual layer backups and I am pretty sure the DMS4 does too.

The DMS4(Pro and Lite)can definately play dual layer back ups. You can either play DL games which have been patched with the toxic patcher or 1:1 backed up DL games using the DL support function incorporated in the DMS4

you heard right, it is all you need to play but you can buy a Hard Drive(HDD) from your local electronics store or newegg.com, and it dosnt have to be 80gb. It can be anywhere from 40gb-135gb. As for HDLoader you can download that(ill try to find the link later), but what you can do with HDLoader is put game images on your HD and load them without having the disks

sounds nice. But whats all this talk about Hard Drives, what makes them so important?
Also, im getting a guy to install a crystal chip for me, as he is a reseller and i guess its a good choice considering i want it done soon, and not wanting to wait for an order to come in, right?
