Hello guys, I have a Inspirion 5160 thats comes with a samsung cdrw/dvd. Sometimes i use my desktop to burn DVD+RWs to be played on my laptop. I notice now that my laptop wont play my DVD+RW and i was wondering if someone can help me with this problem?

Hi truplay,

Well this could be several reasons, but the most obvious would probably be the brand of media you are using. Make sure you get some good high quality media. Also laptop drives are very picky and in my experiance (12 years) most just don't last that long unfortunatley. can the drive read any other media you put into it fine? Also you might want to try updating the firmware to your drive there should be an update for it at Dell..

Cheers
