@Griffins
I wouldnt go any lower than 70%. but if i remember correctly if u keep DVD Shrink at default levels it does the compression levels automatically for u... I wouldnt touch the seetings. Personally from day one that i installed DVD Shrink i didnt touch the settings... but yea 70% safe bet :)

Hello,
There are some things to consider when deciding how low to go.
Movies loaded with lots of action don't tend to compress very well.
Extremely long movies don't fair so well either as they have already been compressed a bit from the studio to fit with all the "special features".
The Deep Analysis along with the Adaptive Error Compensation settings(sharp, smooth, max sharpness, and max smoothness) will always be worth the extra time to improve video quality for heavy compression.
If you don't care much about the special features, then you can always max out the compression on the special features and menus to allow for less compression on the main movie.
As far as an actual number, I've seen 65% turn out pretty good results in most cases.
I usually do the main movie only to keep compression down, however there are still some movies that will give you 50%, some examples are, Titanic, LOTR and Aviator. For that I used the deep analysis and max smoothness it took awhile but they came out very good.
Quote:Lol, that is the truth. I have dustbinned several lately because they were terrible, the only thing I regretted was the waste of a disk.
LOL well the key when backing up DVD's make sure its worth backing up.
The other day i tried to view Monster in Law that i got from a friend for my mum and it didnt work om my standalone DVD player soo i ran it through DVD Decrypter and burnt it with CloneDVD 2 and it worked :) funny that... I didnt want to waste the disc but i had to do it for my mum.... Then I told my mum to use the one that didnt work as a coaster when she drinks coffee or tea :)
