I am lookin to install a HDD on my PS2 can someone tell me how this is done i have a bunch of computer HDD's layin around and i am think why not use an old 20GB drive in it, can someone tell me how, i try to line up the IDE and power ports but they are off by about 1/2 an inch, is there some sory of IDE and power cable option avaliable for this sorta thing or are there particular HDD's u need to have such as the PS2 one from FFXI?

my ps2 hdd, is the 40 gig ibm one that came with my pc (been upgraded to 200gig).

u have two options, buy a different hdd and make sure it will line up,

or two, ive heard u can dismantle the network adaptor a lil, then u can make the power/ide cables line up :P. lil risky but to each his own

not into modding my network adapter, but does someone have a compatibility list or somehting ?

google it, also im sure that the pc guy would let u line up the network adaptor to see if it fits...

Pretty much ANY Seagate or Maxtor hard drive will work, Western Digital?s don?t fit so stay clear of them also check HdAdvance?s site they also have a list of compatible hdd
