I am new to this as I have only backed up some DVD movies and would now like to know if it is possible to either use VCD film clips and make my own "personal choice songs" VCD or even burn them onto a DVD disc so they can still be in VCD format but on a higher capacity disc.
I would like to know : If I have a VCD disc with say 20 song film clips and want to take say 3 of thenm and compile with songs from a variety of other discs (all VCDs), I can copy the actual files but how do I make them play? Do I have to copy some other part of the VCD as well? I am copying the bit where all the "tracks" are visible ....in the MPEGAV folder and they are marked AVSEQ01 etc.
I am using Nero as if I were copying audio tracks but I end up with a disc of my favourites but they do not play in order as a "original" disc does.i have to select the track and then hit "play" but then it won't play the next one along.
There are 5 folders : CDI,MPEGAV,NEW_JPEG,VCD and VIDEO_CD.

Could someone tell me what to copy so I can get eg. track three and then maybe eg. track 8 so they will play in order?

Any help or redirection would be great.
