Ok, I have a V12 PS2, and a Online Start-Up Disc V.3. I have Rogers Cable Internet w/ a modem. i took the ethernet cable that connected from the modem to the PC and I hooked one end to the moden and the other to the PS2 ethernet port. I put the disc in and I tried every option and nothing works. I need help. Can someone post some steps...please. Thnaks

Do you have a router? Maybe you ISP blocks new MAC addresses. You might have to call them in order to use it.

Im not sure what a router is, but im pretty sure i dont have one, i have a modem thats connected to my cable and then to my PC

You might want to look into getting one. They are pretty cheap (20 or 30 dollars) and they allow you to have multiple things connected to the same cable connection (like a couple of computers and your ps2 at the same time) so you don't have to keep unplugging the cable from your computer into your PS2. I'm guessing it would solve your problem with not being able to connect.
