Cdloader and PS1 Backups

I have ditched the CogSwapLoader exploit (mainly because nobody replied) and moved on to cdloader. I put in Swap Magic CD version, I swap it for my cdloader disc, I eject the tray to refresh with a high TOC PS1 game (Gran Turismo 1, I think it was either 689 or 698 mb when I checked on the computer), I swap it for my copied version of Final Fantasy 4 (from FF Chronicles, I also tried with a copied version of Gran Turismo) it loads, brings me to the PS2 browser screen, I press X to load the game, and both games freezed after the PS logo screen.

I burned both discs using Nero, copy cd function, 1x read speed and 4x write speed (slowest I have), and I use Sony cd-r as my media. What am I doing wrong? Is it the media? Or maybe the burning program?

I didn't know that CD Loader would launch PS1 games...but I have the same problem you are only I'm trying to launch the ps1 resident evil games..only I'm using launch.elf(the ps2 browser option) it appears that our ps2's have the same symptoms. Do you have a V7 ? I tried to use Um Jammer Lammy, because it was 641MB...but still no luck..the even stranger part is that my V7 won't respond to breaker pro...but my slim ps2 will....weird....

I also have a V7 PS2, and I don't know if its my cdloader that is bad or my backups. How do you burn your games?

I use either Clone CD or DVD Decrypter.. the decrypter will write most bin and img to disc (it just won;t read them). Also I thought about this post last night so I tried to use CD Loader to run a PS1 backup.. it did just like cogswap....I ejected the disc put in a high TOC PS1 original, and in the bottom left corner it even said PSX , so I swaped for my backup, but when I tried to boot it the screen went red the it got red around the edges... and never booted. As I said my Breaker Pro dosen't work right on my v7 , but works fine on my slim. I know I've burned my games right becuse I played them all on the slim. So now my only way to boot PS1 games is with Game Shark Lite...but it still won't launch Resident evil.. ..I was looking at mod-chips yesterday and some of them said that they would even launch V 7 protected games....I don' know what that means....I mean , I'm almost sure that the resident evil games were all out way before PS2...I'll look around though for more help...

Thanks for the help, but I think I'm done with this cdloader stuff. I've wasted many cd-r's as it is now, but I think I'm just going to buy Gameshark Lite because I saw it at a website for 2.99!

magus57 I use Breaker Pro 4 PS1 games on PS2, it works similar 2 SwapMagic, U put it in ur PS2, boot it, wait till it says play game , u click X & the DVD/CD drive stops spinning then u swap the disc (same as u do with swapmagic) put in the PS1 game u want 2 play, press X & wait & it will boot into the PS1 logo thence into the game. http://www.divineo.cn/cgi-bin/div-cn/ps2-bbp.html try this link it is 2 divineo they have Breaker Pro for sale under $20.ooUSD

Hey Dix_fix , I got my 2nd copy of Breaker Pro today and it still dosen't work...do v7 PS2's have issues with it,or do I need to adjust the voltage or what? I've been thinking about trading my v7 for a v9...I guess it has a better PS1 driver....
