I am currently using HDL patched 0.7c and i cant get socom to load it just sits at a black screen what should i do?

after putting the hdloader go to the game then press select youll then see Mode 1, Mode 2, Mode 3, go to mode 3 and press x then press select again and then youll be able to play your game
