can't backup my dvd with dvdshrink

hi..i have some dvds(4.7 gb)which is copied from my friend.and i want to copy it again on my pc..i used dvdshrink,dvddecrypter,alcohol,clonedvd,dvdcloner and manymore..
but all of them not working,some are working 30%,40%,90% and i got only error messsage.fortunately some dvd i can copy but most of them i can't. and some dvd i can copy a few file like 2 gb with dvddecryper on my hardisk. any help would be great

It sounds like there is a problem with the copies. What brand of dvd's are they? What's the error message?
Imo if decrypter can't rip them nothing can.

the easiest way should be simply to copy/paste in windows explorer as the encryption is removed. sounds like crap media/poorly copied films to me..

make very sure that the copies are crystal clean but you may have already tried that what media is the original

If you want to copy your friend's backups,then he/she is going to have to use high quality media and burn them under 4x on them. Too many errors can occur on the cheaper-low quality media and too fast a burn speed. These errors will cause crc errors when you try to copy them. Some burners also vary,making them more difficult to make copies from them.

On those backups of your friends:

What brand name/format/and speed rating are they?
How fast were they burned?
What is that burner model # and brand name?
What is your burner model # and brand name?

hi...thanks ur help.

it was burn by 4x and sony dvd.there have no scratch on it.i tried with dvdxrescue some of them work but not all. i think he used macrovision protection when he burn those dvds.actually there have 4 movies.i can rip only 2 or 3 with dvddecrypter and dvdshrink too.i can't copy/paste those file to hd .it has showing dos error or some times cyclic redunnacy like that.if there have baddvd repair i hope may be work..i appreciate ur help..thanks

If I read your post correctly you stated that some of the error codes are cyclic redundancy. That error is usually cause by using a poor quality brand of DVD your friend used to copy the movie to. D/L DVDinfoPro (free and you can Google for it) and do a CRC test on your friends DVD's that are burned. There are probably alot of errors on them and that is why you are getting the error codes. For you to copy a bad copy is a waste of time and you just need to get the original and re-copy that yourself

if you want to copy a copy use ashampoo . i use it no problems and buy the way all i use is unbranded DVD+R media and i have not made a coster yet knock on wood and have 700 movie back up . and i burn at 4x.
