ok so i found a 40gb HDD in my basement that fits the PS2 adapter its a 40gb Quantom Firball i was wondering is there n e way i can save my games onto this like my saved game data without spending extra money, also do i have to format it any particular way to be able to use it in the PS2?

also i wanna know if i am able to download and burn HD loader and use it with my swap magic disks aswell :) thanks

Yes you can backup your games to your HDD but you cant save game data to it like you do with a mem card.

HD loader works with swap magic and you can get it from www.ps2hd.com

how do i get games onto the HDD and also in what format (ISO, raw data from ISO buster) and is there a special way to format the HDD for the ps2 or with NTFS or Fat32 work ?

Ps2 hdd has its own format that hdloader/hdadvance automaticly creates on startup. If you dont want to spend any money for hdloader and you have a "fat" ps2 you could use the memory card exploit theres a guide in the user submitted guides on this site. Or you could use your swap magic to play a burned copy of it.
