I just got a action replay and i thought a usb flash drives come with it thats made by datel,the componay that made the action replay,id like to transfer game saves from the computer to my pc,but i dont have a usb flash drive,and id like to know are all usb flash drives compatiable with the ps2? or the only usb flash drive thats compiable with the ps2 is the one thats made by datel thats specfically designed for the ps2

quite alot of them are compatible with action replay, even some mp3 players, just make sure your getting a usb pen drive not usb 2.0. However it would still be cheaper just to buy there brand if all you want to do is transfer saves, because it is smaller (e.g 16mb) and the smallest pen drive you can buy is 125MB

whats the difference between a usb pen drive and a usb flash drive?
and what usb flash drives are compaitble with the action replay and the pc 1.1 or 2.0?

usb flash drives and pen drives are the same, just different names. if you still want to buy one seperate it usb 1.1

oh ok just making sure just wanted u to clarify it for me,cause i dont wanna go out and buy a usb flash drive and it doesnt work with the ar/ps2 and i wont be able to get my money back
i got usb2.0 ports on my computer would a usb 1.1 flash drive still work on my computer,i have a emachine t3624

Yea it will still work on your computer. As I say your probably just better off getting the max drive because then its guaranteed to work

yea but thing is max drive isnt sold in stores seperatley,the oly way i could get a max drive is if i get action replay evo which comes with an max drive,i thought the action replay with the 16mb memory card would come with a usb flash drive or max drive but it didnt.

demonkill,how u know some usb flash drives other then the ones made by datel work with the ar/ps2,u use a usb flash drive to transfer game saves from ur cpu to the ps2 thats not made by datel,just curious

No I got a max evo, I just know that the ps2 doesn't have a usb 2.0 port.

then if u havent used a usb flash drive other then the one by datel then how can u say there are usb flash drives that work with the action replay on the ps2,when u havent even tried a usb flash drive thats not made from datel

Here is a compatible pen drive list for ps2. It says its for codebreaker but if you scroll down the page you can see someone has tested these with the arm aswell, anyway its not a question of whether arm can read it, its if its compatible with the ps2s usb slot.
