i was soldering my Magic V plus modchip when it somehow started to get glossy now the solder wont stick and think it may be broken.ITs a v9 ps2 board and a Magic V plus 50k modchip. I need help please

also the modchip was soldered with rosin core 60/40 solder and i think that may have freaked up the soldering

thanks for some one replying but so far after some reseach ive found that even if you are using rosin core solder it wont take to the pure copper .its something about the copper oxidising and i think that is what the glossy film is because just as the article said it melts very fast (it started melting as so as the iron touched it) so ill get the flux and tell you all the results later if anybody has had this problem aslo can they provide some help and how do you know when your mobo or chip is burned will it show discoloration or not.

also how hard is it to reattach the plug for the fan back to themobo and what will happen if i dont reattach it when i finnish.
