DVD-ROM Read Speed: 16 X (DVD, DVD-R)
Plextor PX-716A

which one of theese is better and also what dvd cd should I buy for a dvd burner and how do I know with what speed to record and with what speed should I record? I am completlu new to dvd burning I want to buy a dvd burner today so any advive would be good.

im sure alot of people would say buy the plextor one.

but you can gat a lite0on burner for cheap and they are really good. Dont buy the expensives once as they are waste of money.

I gotta agree with zippyd. When I bought my 716 it was twice as much as the others, Benq, NEC, Lite-On, etc. It was still worth every penny

I agree that my Plextor 716 is great but so is my Benq 1620 and Lg 4163. They are all worth looking at. IMO

Plextor is without a doubt the better of the two drives listed but I would also consider many other drives better than toshiba also such as benq, lite-on, LG, and NEC. Plextor is the caddy but the others I listed will do a fine job.
