I use only verbatum and taiyo yuden dvd+r's. No coasters or playback problems with either. Depending on the make and model of your dvdrw you might be able to booktype +r/rw media to dvd-rom (most compatable format).

I use Taiyo Yuden 01's and 02's, and I use Verbatims (especially in DL)+R, Maxell and Sony's. I always think quality. The burners that use booktype the Dvd media to DVD rom and now the Denon (which is very picky) plays everything I throw at it!

I buy the good quality plus format, local on sale media. All under 40 cents a disc- max!
Sony and Fuji: Made in japan spindles coded Yuden000-T02
Verbatim data life plus +8x in regular and full hub printables: Mcc-003
Maxell +8x,made in japan. Hitachi produced media. The taiwanese are ritek-ro3's.
I'm sorry you don't like the riteks. My benq's love their media in both formats.I just purchased a spindle of 100 office depot brand +8x that were also ritek-r03 for 28 cents apiece. They have been performing as well as my yudens and verbatims. Even the ricohjpn-01's are very good in both my benqs.
If you don't know how to find the good media locally, then stick with the taiyo yuden or verbatim data life plus. These are the top dogs among quality media.

Interesting...I have been into Home Theater for 10 years. One of my favorite additions has been the Denon 2200. The quality of the Progressive Scan with the Silicon PURE PRESSIVE chip is pretty amazing, yet for a while many of the burns would not play in the Denon (Everything else was fine!), yet since I use TY's and Verbs they play flawlessly in the Denon and now that I upgraded the Nero Burning rom and the copies are Book-set even Maxell, Sony and Verbs DL play flawlessly. Thanks guys for making a believer out of me...Personally TY's rule in the Home Theater!

@ LiveSnipe hi :)
there's absolutely nothing wrong with Ritek media providing they id out as
RITEKG04 -r 4x rated speed
RITEKG05 -r 1-8x rated speed.
i use nothing else unless absolutely forced to. if i have to use anything else other than RITEK, i use Verbatim .
out of interest, why do you say? (but they are no good) that,s quite a sweeping statement with out any explanation as to why you think so

Taiyo Yuden 4 Life. But in all seriousness Taiyos rock and the cool thing about them is that all of them burn great. You dont need to buy the -R or +R, or get the -4x, or all that jib-a-jabber that people talk like all the other DVD media brands. Hell other brands have Taiyo make there top tier discs .
