I have been haveing loads of fun with modding my box, and then painted the case..... black with sliver racing stripes.......

Anyhow, I have no problems runnning a new bios and dash; EvoX, and Evolution-X....
I am having trouble getting stuff like skins, emulators and apps to work, I have ftp'ed all the files I have labled: skins emulators and apps, roms, games things like that to the C partition on the boxes drive.

So I guess my question is do I need to make folders labled apps, skins, emulators......
For the bios and dash to see them?????
If that makes sence......

Thanks for all the great help!

Ok let's get this straght. Are you useing EvoX? If so... WHY!?!?
No no forget that... :)

You wanted to know how you could change Skinz and get your Emulators to list in Evox? Have you tryed looking in your 'Evox.ini' File (it shold be on the C:\ Drive right along with your 'evox.xbe' File...

Section "Root"....

Section "Self Installed Emulators"
{
Line "- Emulators on Hard Drive -",2
AutoAddItem "f:\Apps\Emulators\"
SortAll
}

This is where you'd put any Emulators by default. Feel free to change it in you copy of the 'evox.ini' File. Your Evox Skins should go into the 'C:\Skin' Directory.

Hope that answers your questions.

Sweet I'll try that, I have just been dragging and dropping into the c drive, then read that files need to go to the f drive, so I'll check out the info, and try putting the files in the right place....

I am using EvoX cause it's what most of the tutorials tell me to use, and every time I try the #xbins and IRC mess the FTP server sais I'm not logged in, so I have to find my files esle where....

Thanks again,
Mike

You could put this stuff allmost anywhere you liked (save the X: Y: & Z: Drives (Game Cache Drives), The trick is to know how to edit the 'evox.ini' so that Evox has a clue as to where to start looking for your stuff.

OK!!!!!
I think I see what your saing now, I was to quick to keep scrolling down past [Network] in the EvoX.ini file to see that it has where it looks for the games, apps, skins and such.......
DUUUUU

Just call me Tweedal Dee.....
K, maby not, I made a folder in F drive: open F: in FlashFTP (right click select make folder)(type folder name: skins) and then FTP some skins to that folder.

Go to skins on the EvoX screen and it still isn't showing anything but original.....
So do I need to be putting the folder in a different place, or naming it differently....
Maby even typing in a certain path in the EvoX.ini file before I load it into the hdd...????....???....

Thanks for all the help!!!!
I am such a NOOB, BooB.....

Just curious anyone(you) ever play "super puzzle fighter 2 turbo"
for PS???
