I've been playing around for weeks with this problem so someone could save me a HUGE headache.

I Created a project of video clips in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Exported as de-interlace avi file (this is because when Interlaced is encoded to mpeg it has horizontal lines).
Also exported audio separately.

Used TMPGenc to encode to Mpeg.
Once completed the file is very small and plays a blank video. for example 6 gig avi turns into 30 meg file instead of the 2 gig file it should be (approx).

I can encode with Winavi which creates an mpeg which works. Problem with this is that the picture suffers when there is movement on screen when played on dvd player. In TMPGenc, there is a tick box (no motion search) which solves this problem hence why I need to use this program.
I have have tried many settings and have looked at loads of internet pages and guides.
Does anybody know the settings which should be selected when encoding a de-interlaced avi.
I'm assuming (maybe wrongly) that the ecoding is picking up the blank lines which would explain the small size and blank video.

I managed to do this once a while back with the first part of my honeymoon video but I never had the problem with the small Black files b4.
