No special protection on this one. I was successful with AnyDVD and CloneDVD 2.

I know there is no special protection system on the disc but for some reason I am using a registered version of AnyDVD and I have tried 2 different methods and neither one will work. Strange.

Perhaps posting some errors/logs might generate interest in helping solve these problems. No one here is a mindreader that I know of.

The boy in the green shorts is at work.LOL
If your doing the whole disc, you may need to replace the Unreferenced Material with a "still image" in dvd shrink.

I did it "movie only" with dvd2one/anydvd

to jim-dandy. i see you use dvd2one, since shrink is working so slow for me, i'm planning to use dvd2one(i have it). my question is, how do you see its quality output compare to shrink?

how dvd2one compare to shrink when compressing long movies?

Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

dvd2one blows shrink away IMHO
For the big long movies, I prefer to use DVDRB/CCE.

Sure I use it for an analyzing tool,so I can see what I have, and decide what to do next.
I also use it once in awhile when a movie doesnt need compression, or needs very little.

to creaky, so are other programs but they do it faster, and in the case of DVD2One, it seems also with better picture quality.

@elizerroj - yes indeed, there are better/quicker etc; i'm just real happy with Shrink myself. Just realised, i have DVD2One, but have only ever used it for joining 2 or more films together..

creaky likes to use the free stuff, nothing wrong with that. :)

My backing up arsenal in order of picture quality, price not withstanding.

1.DVDRB/CCE...the best available, but very slow.
2.Intervideo dvdcopy3....almost as good as DVDRB/CCE,very quirky,but fast.
3.DVD2One...very straightforward, fast, and simple.
4.CloneDVD...very good for editing extras, and keeping a functioning menu, also fast.
5.Nero recode....see CloneDVD.
6.DVD Shrink..... my last resort, picture quality is good when using the quality enhancements, but slow when using them.

All of the above programs I use with AnyDVD running in the background.
