Problem playing copied PS1 games on PS2

Ok first of I'm not a total idiot when it comes to coping games ok. My problem is when I try to play a copied PS1 game on my PS2 it comes up to the Playstation logo but it doesn't have the colored PS thing. Just the White word Playstation and SCEA or what ever and the game freezes there. This is just with new games I haven't tested on the system but with my older ones that are on CD and have been tested they boot just fine. Could the files be corrupt? Is there a program to test the Image files or see if they are because I created the images with no problems and look fine when I view them with UltraISO and what not.

My system is a PS2 v12 with a DMSLite 4 modchip

PS2 copies play great, my older copies of PS1 play good and orginals play good but I not quite following what the white Playstation logo means w/o the Big PS logo there. Anythoughs anyone??
