i curently have a dvdr05 ilo ,but if i take it back and get an 04 and download the hack i read for it can i watch the dvd on my jvc dvd player and have the svideo from the jvc which the disck is in go threw the dvdro4 and burn, is the hack for the ro4 for region free so it will burn. is this possibly, or what do i need to do still have two days to take r05 back and get ro4
... Let me get this straight .. You want to play the DVD on your JVC and record it on your ilo .. Right? I'm not sure that a region free hack is necessary, but a Macrovision hack sure would be. As far as hookup with a S-Video cable (and RCA cables for audio), I've used this set up between my Phillips DVP642 and LiteOn LVW-5005 quite successfully for some time now ...
.. Does your DVDR05 have a S-Video input? - I suppose that the 04 is a better unit, however ... It's your call ...

I hooked everything up and I started to burn a dvd (JVC is the dvd player and ilo is the dvd burner). I only burned the dvd for about two minutes and it worked fine. I had no problems with Macrovision. Do you think if I burn a whole dvd I will have problems?
