I recently purchased DVD Cloner II and downloaded it. I put the original dvd in D: and the blank dvd in E:(both drives are cd/dvd readable, an E: is the burner.They are Philips drives in a Dell Computer)It reads the original ok, but when it goes to burn the blank, I get a message that says: can't burn dvd, do you want to retry. I have tried retry and tried reading and burning in E: but nothing works. Don't know why it won't burn. Any help would be appreciated.

keralesh,
Welcome to the forum. Had to look up the program as I have never heard of it. Your problem sounds like the burner does not like the blank media you are using. Suggest you see if there are any firmware updates for the burner @ Dell and then use good quality blank media like Verbatim or Taiyo Yudens

Your drive is an oem beng dw1620 and your f/w is a little outdated. CD30 is the current f/w. Look here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1978

@Car.Mike

Mort....... when you use Clone 2 don't you have to use AnyDVD or DVD43 to burn the DVD? otherwise you get an error message, right? Or Cloner is different than Clone? hmmmm

@IHoe,

I don't use CloneDVD 2 but I'm pretty sure you're correct. You can probably rip with dvdd and then load the folder into CloneDVD 2 but like I said I don't use clone 2 and am not 100% sure.

@karelesh,

You're welcome, that was almost too easy. Glad to see you're up n runnin.

I just got another problem with my DVD Cloner II software. I'm doing the same as before, putting original in D: and target in E:, but now it says "drive d has no free space, an additiona l5741mb of free space is needed." This is for the same dvd i copied before with no problem. I would appreciate any help. Thanks. I tried doing just in E: and it doesn't work either.
