Ok soo heeres the run down !!

I was wondering would I be able to decrypt, re-author and shrink with the "dvd shrink" alone ?? Without any problems that is ?

I just followed the guide " How to copy multiple DVD's to 1 DVD-R with DVD SHRINK " only because I didnt see any point in having the subtitles if they didnt have sound !!

Oh .. forgot to mention i was following the dvd shrink guide to burn the others ... before i stumbled on the " How to copy multiple DVD's to 1 DVD-R with DVD SHRINK "

THANKS IN ADVANCE ALL

Yes,but you will still need a burning program like DVD Decrypter or Nero.

Dvd shrink and Nero do 90% of my backups. It's a great combo. But sometimes it runs into problems, then DVD Decrypter may work. Both those programs are not being updated anymore,so another program called AnyDVD by slysoft will help DVD Shrink pull off the newer encryptions.

Insert original discs in DVD-RW drive or dvd-rom drive
Insert blank, high quality disc in DVD-RW drive if you have dual drives

Open up dvd shrink
Open disc
Reauthor
Drag main title over from the right side of screen,to the left.
Click backup tab

Double check all those settings: You'll be burning those files to your DVD-RW drive/watch the burn speed/set region-free/select where those files will go after burning/ select the enhancements if desired.

When all looks ok, Click ok!

Very effective and easy.Dual drives makes this setup a breeze.

Dvd decrypter is fast, for me,on the ISO read and ISO write on the smaller DVD-5 movies. These are the small movies or backups that you may want to make an extra copy.

I usually just do DVD Shrink and then burn with Nero.It works on about 90% of my original movies.those larger DVD-9 movies that are ripped by dvd decypter, you still have to compress them,so I cut out that extra step.

The other 10%:

Sometimes a special encryption can cause DVD Shrink to hang up, Sony Arcos. DVD Decrypter may be able to rip it in file mode, then compress with DVD Shrink. Since both these programs are no longer updated, A program called AnyDVD by slysoft, runs in the background to help those 2 programs to rip them.

It's nice have both DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter to rip.Depending on what you are trying to rip-DVD-5 or DVD-9.
Dvd-decrypter will be faster on the dvd-5s than DVD Shrink alone usind iso read and iso write.

Also if you have single DVD-RW drive or dual: DVD-RW drive with a dvd-rom drive, that'll make a difference too.You can place both original and empty disc into the drives and auto rip and burn using DVD Shrink, without waiting for a disc to spit out to replace with empty using a single DVD-RW drive.
