hi guys im having so many issues here with cheat code discs like action replay max.
I have a modded PS2 it has messiah chip in it, and my PS2 wont read CD discs easy, i have to try about 11 times for these discs to work but the DVD discs work.
I have different versions of games PAL & NTSC ! do i need to get the NTSC version of action replay max disc to put the ceats on that version of the game and vice versa with PAL games?
I download these discs and i wont go out and buy them simply because thats defeating the purpose of getting ur PS2 modded.

Action Replay does have a history for not booting, scratches easily ect. My PS2 will not boot the ORIGINAL Ar MAX period. I have to use swap magic cd version.

And another thing about u and downloading games u didnt pay for, that is called piracy and is illegal unless u rightfully own the original game disk and the purpose of a mod-chip is so that you can play your BACKUPS instead of your originals so they do not get scratched not so u could just download any game u want 4 free and play it.

Other people outside the US also buy mod-chips w/ no intention of playing backups, but to simply get the NTSC version of the game and be able to play it because a game comes out in NTSC before PAL.

No, you don't have to get another version of AR Max but you do have to make sure that the cheats match the game's region setting. For example, I have a PAL version of AR Max and generally play NTSC games. All I do is manually enter the NTSC codes on my PAL AR Max and the cheats work fine. But if I try to use PAL cheats for an NTSC game the cheats don't work. I have an almost new V12 PS2 and it too has problems loading AR Max - it generally goes to the browser screen.
