Help With PS2 Fliptop Please!!!!!

Ok so I installed the Fliptop step by step no problem. The problem is the little white disk that you take out of the original PS2 cover and connect to the fliptop doesnt get to the disk to read it. In Order to get the games to be read I have to apply pressure on the top of the lid and then they are read perfectly. Also when I don't apply pressure to it, it makes really strange noises. I've loosened up screws on the bottom of the PS2 cause I heard that might be the problem but that doesnt work. Anyone Help Me?

ok...the fliptop.. I had the same problem.. I'm not 100% sure if all flip tops are the same but mine had 2 little screws under the place where you put the white disk...I poped the white disk out and loosened each screw a little, then put the white disk back in. I think those screws are there to lower the white disk........

I'm glad it worked for you, did you get your fliptop from consolesource ? That's where I got mine, and I was under the impression that it came with the white disk, but oh well....the flip top is great though.....

Yeah Me and my friend both got one from consolesource and we both had the same problem but is fixed now yay.

To get mine to work properly I had to play mine with the flip top open.Yes,it sucks that I have to do that but now every game works perfectly....regular games and backup's.
